Obituary for Marvin "Ray" Bagwell
Marvin "Ray" Bagwell, age 88, of Pisgah Forest passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at his mountain home with his wife and daughter by his side.
He was the son of the late Walter and Lessie Middleton Bagwell.
He lived a full and great life. He served in the US Airforce as a fighter pilot and was a commercial pilot for Delta Airlines. He traveled all over the United States and the world. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Loretta Glover Bagwell, one daughter, Nancy Penley and husband Billy of Pisgah Forest, one grandson, Trenton Penley and one sister, Opal Sayles.
While this is a very difficult time, we are also glad and rejoicing that he has gone to be with his Lord and is no longer in any pain.
A private graveside service will be held.
